Lay wax paper onto a baking sheet. Add chips and shortening into a 2 cup glass microwave safe measuring cup. Microwave on medium high for 1 minute, remove and stir. If the chips are not totally melted than microwave an additional 10 seconds on medium high, stir and repeat if necessary. Dip pretzels into chocolate than sprinkle with decorations. Place on wax paper and refrigerate for a half an hour or until set. Store in an airtight container. Makes 14 to 16 pretzels.
